Pallet Builder

Pallet/Crate Manufacturer in Detroit has immediate need for 1st Shift Pallet Builders!   

PAY: Candidates will be paid $15/ hour during training period (1 week). After the first week’s training period, candidates will be bumped to $16/ hour. 

Contract to Hire (90 days)

Expectations of Role::
- Excellent attendance and punctuality. 
- Candidates must be energetic and motivated each day to complete tasks.
- Candidates will be expected to stay on the job for duration of shift.
- No cell phone usage with the exception of breaks/lunch. No headphones.
- Operate nail gun safely and accurately, in a fast-paced production setting, for entire shift.
- Build pallets to meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
- Occasionally operate equipment such as power saws, drills and grinders.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Inspect, sort, and count pallets.
- Stack and band finished goods for loading on to trucks.

Qualifications:
- Candidates MUST be able to read a tape measure.
- Candidates MUST experience working with nail guns in production setting (not home construction). Candidates with roofing experience make excellent candidates. (min.1 year).
- Candidates must be physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift arms above head, perform repetitive motions, etc. for duration of shift.
- Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout shift.

** Client company is very accessible - just off the I94 expressway near the I-96 and I-75 crossovers.
