Assistant Maintenance Mechanic
Trillium Staffing is now seeking an Assistant Maintenance Mechanic for a temp-to-hire opportunity!
Schedule is 1st Shift - 6:00AM - 3:00PM. Candidates MUST be able to work OT as needed, based on the needs of the facility. This includes some Saturday work. Pay rate is $19-22.00/ Hour based on experience.
As Assistant Maintenance Mechanic you are responsible for a wide range of activities throughout the Plant and Facilities maintenance. The position requires the ability to be flexible, self-directed and have an understanding of production requirements in a service orientated company. The main focus of the position is to keep the production and material handling equipment safely maintained to maximize efficiency, ensure a safe operation and ensure on time delivery of product. Must be willing to grow into more seasoned role with company.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Always works in a safe and efficient manner
-Assist with repairs and maintains plant equipment in an efficient manner on a daily basis
- Assist the maintenance team to eliminate machine downtime
- Follows all Company ISO policies and procedures
- Keeps work areas clean and organized
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably steel processing
- Some knowledge of electricity, welding & burning, hydraulic repair
- Some PLC knowledge and understanding
- Some Machine repair, crane repair, preventive maintenance programs
- Should be able to read blueprints and also order parts and supplies
- Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility
- Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding
