Accounting Specialist

Trillium Staffing is now hiring an Accounting Specialist for a temp-to-hire role in Midland, Michigan!

Pay $19-21 based on experience.  Work Schedule M-F 8am-5pm. We are seeking an organize and proactive Accounting Specialist to manage client accounts and ensure customer satisfaction.

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the accounting department by managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. This entry-level position offers an opportunity for professional growth and development within the accounting field.

Essential Job Duties:
1.    Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expense reports.
2.    Input financial data into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
3.    Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses as needed.
4.    Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
5.    Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
6.    Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding billing and payment issues.
7.    Monitor, assist and distribute correspondence in the various company email boxes.

Additional Job Duties:
1.    Proactively reviewing processes and procedures to make them as efficient as possible.
2.    Support with various accounting tasks and projects.
3.    Assist with month-end and year-end processes as necessary.

Qualifications:
-H.S. Diploma or GED
-Minimum of 2 years general bookkeeping/accounting experience.
-Ability to pass employment prescreening.
-Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
-Understanding of GAAP.
