Trillium Construction is seeking a QA/QC Specialist – CWI for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established mechanical contractor.

This company provides HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and plumbing services, offering installation, maintenance, and repair for commercial, government, and industrial clients. They deliver full-service expertise including preconstruction, BIM/VDC, and commissioning support, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and long-term client relationships.

Pay: $38 – $45 per hour (based on experience). Travel: Required to job sites within North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:
-Manage QA/QC validators and manpower planning for quality assurance functions
-Monitor welder performance and confirm adherence to approved weld procedures
-Develop and maintain site-specific QA/QC manuals
-Prepare and manage weld logs, weld maps, and certifications to ensure compliance with codes and standards
-Perform visual inspections and field verifications of welds, piping, ductwork, and HVAC/plumbing components
-Support creation and resolution tracking of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
-Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related documentation and reporting
-Mentor and promote a culture of quality across teams

Qualifications:
-Active Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification required
-Minimum 5 years of QA/QC inspection experience
-Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel in-state
-Strong knowledge of ASME codes and applicable regulations
-Proficiency with weld logs, weld maps, continuity logs, and weld procedures
-Strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills
-Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and contract documents
