Trillium has an immediate opening for a Litigation Defense Associate in Pittsburgh!
This Direct-Hire opportunity is seeking a motivated and skilled associate to join the Litigation Defense Group. The role involves managing complex litigation matters, with responsibilities that include drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing depositions, researching legal issues, and participating in courtroom appearances.
Experience in insurance coverage and professional liability is highly valued, making this an ideal opportunity for an associate with a strong defense background who is ready to handle sophisticated matters. Responsibilities:
-Draft responsive pleadings, litigation plans, budgets, and discovery strategies
-Conduct fact investigations, analyze records/files, and prepare clients or witnesses for deposition
-Handle and attend depositions, hearings, oral arguments, and status conferences
-Research, brief, and prepare motions, including Summary Judgment and Preliminary Objections
-Communicate regularly with supervising attorneys, clients, and experts on case progress and strategies
Schedule is full-time, on-site position with regular daytime hours. Pay is $120,000 – $170,000 annually DOE & Work History.

-4+ years of defense litigation experience with strong academic credentials
-Experience in insurance coverage and professional liability strongly preferred
-Solid knowledge of state and federal courts and rules of civil procedure
-Proven experience in depositions, oral arguments, and hearings
-Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills
-Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
-Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and independent judgment
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset
