Lead Maintenance Mechanic
We’re partnering with a leading manufacturer to hire a Lead Maintenance Mechanic for the night shift.
This is a direct hire opportunity located in Franklin Park, Illinois. This is a hands-on, non-managerial role. Will serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance activities during the shift—delegating tasks, prioritizing work orders, and ensuring timely equipment repairs and preventive maintenance. Pay range is $36–$40/hr (DOE)
Schedule is (4) 10hr shifts. Ideally Thur, Fri, Sat and Sun or Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon. 7:00 pm - 5am.
Key Responsibilities for the Lead Maintenance Mechanic:
-Lead and guide the night shift maintenance team (no admin or managerial duties)
-Assign and prioritize work orders
-Perform hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
-Support production by minimizing equipment downtime
-Coordinate with Production and Maintenance Managers to meet production goals
-Assist with PM program development and parts inventory management

Requirements:
-10+ years in manufacturing maintenance (mechanical/electrical) preferred
-2+ years in a leadership or lead tech role
-High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s preferred
-Strong project management and troubleshooting skills
-Knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations a plus
-Must meet physical requirements and wear PPE as needed
