Manufacturing Process Engineer

We’re partnering with a leading manufacturer to fill a Manufacturing Process Engineer role located in Franklin Park, Illinois.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer position is a Direct Hire opportunity with a pay range $36 to $40/hr (Based on experience). Schedule is 12-Hour Night Shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule: 3 days on, 2 off / 4 days on, 2 off.

Will be responsible for operating and maintaining blow molding and injection molding machines (Uniloy and Bekum), ensuring safe, efficient production and high-quality output. Oversees the manufacturing technical team, including maintenance mechanics, technicians, and operators.

Key duties for the Manufacturing Process Engineer include:
-Operating and adjusting machines to correct defects and maintain product quality (weight, thickness, flash, shape).
-Monitoring heat controls, cooling systems, extruders, and hydraulics.
-Performing preventive maintenance and unjamming conveyors.
-Managing production reports, screen changes, and waste reduction.
-Leading process engineering projects and equipment automation.
-Ensuring safety compliance and maintaining housekeeping standards.
-Supervising staff, evaluating performance, and improving efficiency.
-Assessing and mitigating physical hazards in production.

Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
-7+ years in process engineering with injection or blow molding experience.
-Strong skills in math, physical science, computer applications, production planning, and manufacturing system design.
-Physically able to perform job duties.
