Senior Maintenance Technician
We’re partnering with a leading manufacturer to fill a Senior Maintenance Technician/Mechanic role located in Franklin Park, Illinois.
The Senior Maintenance Technician/Mechanic position is a Direct Hire opportunity with a pay range $33–$36/hr (Based on experience). These are 12-Hour Night Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM on a rotating schedule: 3 days on, 2 off / 4 days on, 2 off.
The Sr. Maintenance Technician will report to the Manufacturing Technical Manager. This position supports all areas of operations by performing both preventative and reactive maintenance on molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Key Responsibilities for the Sr. Maintenance Technician/Mechanic position include:
-Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems
-Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and maintain records
-Identify equipment issues through performance monitoring and diagnostics
-Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment (5S practices)
-Communicate effectively across departments
-Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards

Qualifications:
-HS diploma or GED + 2-year technical degree/apprenticeship, 7+ years relevant experience
-Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing setting
-Ability to read technical manuals/drawings and follow SOPs
-Flexible to work different shifts, weekends, and OT as needed
-Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
-Forklift and power tool operation experience
-Must wear appropriate PPE (steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, etc.
