Forklift Operator
A leading provider of industrial metal products has an immediate need for a Material Handler - Forklift Operator in in Arlington, TX, 1st Shift!

Contract-to-Hire with a 90-day evaluation period. Pay rate is $18-19/hour (based on experience). Schedule is 7:00AM - 3:30PM, OT as needed and dependent on production levels.
Job duties:
- Receive incoming materials by unloading, weighing, counting, and verifying dimensions.
- Mark items with the appropriate identifiers such as color codes, heat numbers, or test numbers, and place them in designated storage locations.
- Document required information on receiving forms or related paperwork.
- Consistently follow established safety guidelines and maintain quality and productivity expectations for all assigned tasks.
- Provide coverage for other positions when qualified, excluding maintenance, to support daily operations.
- Perform additional tasks as directed, with responsibilities subject to change at any time.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Forklift experience (min. 5 years)
- Crane experience or knowledge of crane operation (Min. 1 year experience OR the ability to speak to crane operation and confidence in being trainable)
- Applicants must complete a skills evaluation covering areas such as reading comprehension, basic math, quality checks, measurement accuracy, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Background in manufacturing, warehousing, or a similar industrial environment (metals) is preferred.
- Basic computer use and data entry skills.
- Ability to accurately use precision measurement tools, including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers, is required.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently throughout shift.
- Candidate will participate in a formal apprenticeship program as part of initial training. Avg. 4-week training period.
