Class A Truck Driver

Trillium Drivers is now seeking a Class A Driver w/Hazmat and Tankers Endorsement in Addison IL for a regional, OTR position!

Projected Start date is Sept. There will 2 or 3 over nights per week and home every weekend. Generally morning starts 5-7am M-F with some Saturdays which our Planners work with drivers if needed.

Pay: $36.48 training pay then $41.53 once done training side by side with driver which is around 6 weeks. Per Diem is $75 a day on all overnight trips or working 10hrs or more in a day. OT after 40 hrs Double time after 60hrs if it comes up. 

Must possess or be willing to possess a passport to go into Canada when needed. Otherwise, it’s a rough 500-mile radius from Addison IL. States include IL, IA, IN, MI, MN, OH, KY, TN, WI, MO, NE. Drivers will operate an sleeper or day cab with automatic transmission. The trailer is Tanker and Step Deck Curtain Side. Potentially Heavy Duty Straight Truck. Generally, start off on Tanker deliveries and transition to the others. Drivers will be hauling liquid chemicals for industrial water and boiler applications. 

PPE: Must be able to pass annual respirator fit test (facial hair could be issue if not trimmed etc). The PPE varies by delivery account and their requirements.  Normally it is FR pants and long sleeve shirt. Hard Hat with face shield/google, Steel toe boots. Chemical resistant gloves and possible apron at times 

These are chemical hose deliveries from Tanker, Totes or Drums. We use pneumatic air pumps to off load the chemicals into customer tanks of all sizes. When off loading drums requires drums to be off loaded with liftgate and wheeled or pallet jack to the off loading tank location.

Qualifications:
-Valid CDL Class A Driver’s license.
-Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
-At least 1+ years of recent and verifiable CDL Class A driving experience.
-Clean MVR.
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
