Team Lead

Team leader needed for growing plastics company located in Howell, MI.

Schedule is 1st shift, 7a-3:30p Monday-Friday plus potential for overtime. Pay rate is $19/hour.

Job Duties:
• Monitors plant policies, safety procedures and environmental regulations are upheld.
• Identifies problems in a quick manner to keep scrap at a minimum. Reports to proper department and follow up for process to confirm back to standards.
• Reports any machinery concerns and problems to Department Manager/General Manager in a timely manner.
• Follows SOP for maintaining safe and clean environment for Food Grade Product.
• Monitors quality to the highest degree during production and final inspection.
• Verifies QA Technician documentation and testing results.
• Monitors and maintains accurate operator records, forklift checklists, shift production reports.
• Works as a team to assist in monitoring product, apply labels, inspects finished product, and relieves for breaks and lunches as scheduled.

-Must have 1-2 years solid supervisory/team lead experience in a manufacturing environment (plastics preferred).
-Must have previous quality assurance experience and be able to handle lifting up to 50 pounds with frequent bending and twisting, in addition to standing for the entire shift.
-Must pass all preemployment screens and have own reliable transportation as this position is not on a line for public transportation.
