Maintenance Mechanic
A fast-paced and safety-driven manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join the 2nd shift team in Montgomery, IL!
Hours: 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM. Candidate must be flexible and able to work OT as needed based on production/support needs.
Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00/hour (based on experience)
Shift Premium: Additional $1.00/hour for 2nd shift (included in the range)
This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and improving production equipment and facility operations. Ideal candidates will be adaptable, proactive, and ready to support a high-output environment.
Duties:
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and repair on production and material handling equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Participate in preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate documentation
- Support capital improvement projects and assist with new equipment installations
- Communicate with vendors for parts and outside services as needed
- Ensure safety standards and operational procedures are consistently followed
- Keep workspaces clean and organized

- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting (steel processing experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with electrical systems, hydraulics, welding, and mechanical repairs
- PLC troubleshooting knowledge a strong plus
- Ability to read technical blueprints and schematics
- Experience with crane and machine repair
- Capable of meeting physical requirements including mobility, vision, and hearing standards
