Manufacturing Supervisor

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in Howell for direct-hire!

Our client is a CNC shop specializing in CNC Machined aluminum tooling and machined foam parts for a niche molded foam industry. Most tooling projects are unique, no two jobs are the same, with some short production machining projects. Each part they machine is made to order, requiring attention to detail, flexibility, and a focus on quality.

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our day-to-day manufacturing operations. 

This individual will be responsible for keeping the team on task, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, and upholding our company standards. The ideal candidate has a background in CNC programming, setup, and machining, who thrives in a CNC shop environment, and is confident managing people, processes, and priorities.

This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone who is organized, reliable, and ready to take ownership of shop floor operations with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities
•    Oversee and coordinate all shop floor activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
•    Direct, support, and motivate CNC machinists and operators; provide guidance on setups, tooling, and best practices.
•    Manage job schedules, allocate resources effectively, and adjust priorities as needed to meet deadlines.
•    Monitor part quality throughout the machining process; ensure all parts meet customer specifications and internal standards.
•    Identify and implement improvements in machining processes, tooling, and workflow to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
•    Review and assist with CNC programming and setups to ensure accuracy and consistency across jobs.
•    Train new employees and upskill current team members in machining techniques, safety protocols, and equipment use.
•    Enforce safety standards and ensure machines and tools are properly maintained and calibrated.
•    Serve as the primary point of contact between the shop floor and management; provide regular updates on job status, issues, and improvements.

What We’re Looking For
-3+ years of experience supervising in a manufacturing or CNC machining environment.
-Proficiency with SolidWorks and Mastercam.
-Strong understanding of CNC machining operations, tooling, and shop workflows.
-Comfortable working in a CNC shop setting— with the ability to manage and delegate effectively.
-Solid communication and interpersonal skills —able to run the floor with limited direction.
-Experience with interviewing and evaluating shop floor candidates is a bonus.
