This Temp-to-Hire opportunity is seeking motivated candidates who are ready to dive into a dynamic role where you’ll be operating various presses, checking product quality, and ensuring smooth production. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who can keep machines running efficiently, load materials, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Your Role as a Press Operator:
Qualified candidates will play a valuable role in our organization. You’ll be responsible for the skillful operation of production equipment to achieve maximum product output while upholding our top-tier quality and safety standards. You’ll also be instrumental in preparing for shape changes and ensuring the perfect blends of raw ingredients. This is a dynamic position where your contributions truly make a difference!

Key Responsibilities:
-Production Optimization: Review and adjust press and dryer settings to meet poundage goals. You’ll be adept at troubleshooting and correcting machine stoppages, ensuring smooth and continuous operation.
-Quality Assurance: Continuously monitor and maintain ideal product lengths (for short goods) and patterns (for long goods), ensuring everything meets our exact specifications. You’ll collaborate with Senior and Silo Operators to address any non-spec product.
-Changeover Management: Expertly prepare for shape changes according to the production schedule, ensuring the correct raw ingredient blends are always used. You’ll also assist with ingredient changeovers as directed.
-Detailed Record Keeping: Help maintain a detailed log of production events and consistently review quality check sheets throughout each shift. Your attention to detail is crucial!
-Team Collaboration: Partner with Press Utility roles to resolve machine issues during operation. You’ll also promptly report any safety or production safety concerns to Senior or Lead Press Operators.
-Lab Support: Assist Lab Technicians by providing samples for moisture testing directly from machine process points, three times daily.
-Mill Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of semolina tailings (mill scalpings), diligently record findings, and report back to the Mill via the Senior Press Operator.
-Die Room Support (as needed): Manage die selection, preparation, washing, and storage. You’ll also handle additional die room tasks like preparing ingredient hoppers, recording ingredient usage, proper container disposal, and operating the superstack machine when the attendant is absent.
-Continuous Improvement: Proactively partner with company leadership to identify and implement opportunities that enhance safety, production safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation across the board.
-Additional Duties: Embrace other duties as assigned, contributing to a productive and efficient environment.


This position offers a staggered workday schedule and a shift rotation every 30-days.
-First 30-days: 3 days on and 4 days off, then 4 days on and 3 days off. Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
-Second 30-days: 3 days on and 4 days off, then 4 days on and 3 days off. Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

The pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. Apply now!

Qualifications for Success:
-Education: A high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution OR 1 year of manufacturing experience.
-Availability: Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
-Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for 6+ hours per shift, and up to 50 pounds for 3+ hours per shift.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
-Previous experience operating equipment in a manufacturing setting.
-Experience working with production line control computers.
