This Temp-to-Hire opportunity is seeking candidates for our day shift maintenance team. As a Maintenance I, you’ll be an essential part of our team, diving into the exciting world of plant facilities and equipment! You’ll assist with preventive maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and work closely with operations to troubleshoot issues on process systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Assists with preventative and predictive maintenance on process systems to include; mill, production, packaging, utility, and other facility equipment.
-Partners with operations to troubleshoot issues on process systems to include; mill, production, packaging, utility, and other facility equipment and utilize machine manuals and schematics.
-Assists with maintaining utility operations to include; boilers, compressors, vacuum pumps, water supply and HVAC systems.
-Documents work to include PM checklists, work orders, permits, etc.
-Maintains GMPs and safety standards.
-Partners with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of: safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation.
-Other duties, as assigned.

This position offers a schedule of four 10-hour days, Tuesday - Saturday. The daily shift runs from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. The pay rate for this position is $26.00 per hour.

Education and Experience Required:
-High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
-Lift up to 34 pounds for 6+ hours per shift.

One of the following is also required:
-Two-year associate’s degree or higher in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, etc.) or equivalent.
-Military training and experience in a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).
-Two or more years of hands-on experience in a mechanic, maintenance, electrical, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, or related role, or equivalent education.
-Experience with basic carpentry, plumbing, welding, metal work, and fabrication is essential.
-Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
-Experience maintaining equipment within a food manufacturing facility.
-Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
-Proficiency with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
-Background working with power transmission components, including belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors, and gears.
-Familiarity with drill presses, lathes, and Bridgeport-type mills.
-Skill in operating and maintaining forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated lifts.
