Trillium has immediate openings for Forklift Operators - Day Shift in Carrington!

This Temp-to-Hire opportunity is seeking candidates to join our warehouse team as Forklift Operators. This position plays a critical role as a vital part of our team, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of products and materials throughout our facility. You’ll be at the heart of our operations, shipping, storing, and receiving inventory, and ensuring the highest standards of warehouse housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities:
-Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate various forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models, to load, unload, and transfer products, pallets, boxes, and other materials. You’ll also operate other shipping equipment as needed.
-Execute Shipping and Receiving: Precisely load and unload products into trucks and/or railcars, strictly adhering to the shipping schedule to ensure timely deliveries and efficient receiving. This includes inspecting goods for damage, verifying quantities against manifests, and securing loads properly for transport.
-Maintain Accurate Inventory: Store and load products while meticulously maintaining accurate inventory records. You’ll utilize RF scanning equipment and our warehouse management system (WMS) to track product locations, update inventory counts, and ensure all movements are accurately documented. You’ll consistently practice First-In/First-Out (FIFO) to optimize product rotation and minimize waste.
-Perform Equipment Maintenance: Monitor all equipment for wear and potential damage, performing necessary preventative maintenance as required to ensure operational safety and longevity. You’ll conduct thorough pre-shift inspections and report any malfunctions promptly.
-Ensure Warehouse Housekeeping: Execute tasks according to Master Housekeeping Schedules and other HACCP documentation. This includes performing scheduled cleaning of equipment and maintaining overall warehouse hygiene and a hazard-free work area.
-Product Rework and Preparation: Re-palletize and rework products as needed and prepare products for the regrind process.
-Uphold Safety and Quality Standards: Consistently maintain high safety and quality standards in a fast-paced work environment. You’ll strictly follow all OSHA guidelines and internal safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
-Drive Continuous Improvement: Partner with company leadership to proactively identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across key areas: safety, product safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping.
-Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned to support overall operations, including manual material handling, order picking, and packing.

This position offers a Day Shift schedule of four 10-hour days: Sunday - Wednesday. The daily shift runs from 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Education and Experience:
-Availability: Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to meet business demands.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
-Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

-Forklift Experience: Valid Forklift Operator certification (OSHA compliant preferred) and proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
-Industry Experience: Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility is a strong plus.
-Technical Skills: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
-Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and a strong commitment to safety. 
-Heavy Lifting (Team): Lift up to 100 pounds for 3+ hours per shift with team member assistance.
