Trillium has an immediate opening for an Estimator in Huger!

This Direct-Hire opportunity is seeking a motivated Estimator/Draftsman/Detailer for a full-time position. In this role, you will be responsible for creating fabrication drawings based on project specifications and production team calculations, estimating project costs and preparing quotations, and programming machinery.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, possess a strong understanding of steel manufacturing and fabrication processes, and demonstrate exceptional analytical and communication skills. Key Responsibilities
-Analyze blueprints, specifications, and documentation to prepare accurate project estimates
-Develop pricing and proposal documents for internal review and customer submittals
-Monitor estimated vs. actual costs to evaluate project profitability
-Coordinate with Purchasing and vendors to obtain accurate pricing and lead times
-Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to define project scope and deadlines
-Program machinery to meet specific project requirements
-Perform additional tasks as directed by management to support operations

Schedule is 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Annual salary is $60,000+ DOE plus discretionary quarterly bonuses available.

Work Environment
-Majority of duties performed in a steel service center using heavy production equipment and tools
-Work also occurs in a climate-controlled office environment
-Occasional off-site travel required
-Safety protocols aligned with OSHA/state regulations
-PPE required for all phases of work
-Ongoing safety training and risk control measures enforced

Qualifications
-Proficiency in blueprint reading, specification interpretation, and CAD software
-Understanding of steel fabrication and mechanical manufacturing processes
-Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
-Familiarity with fabrication machinery and Microsoft Office
-Ability to travel as needed and maintain dependable attendance
-Strong visual acuity, motor coordination, and physical endurance for job tasks

Education
-Associate Degree in Drafting (required)
-Professional Certification in Mechanical Drafting (preferred)
-CAD software experience (required)
-Mechanical manufacturing process knowledge (preferred)
-Valid Driver’s License (required)
