Maintenance & Safety Manager
Awesome Direct Hire opening for a Maintenance & Safety Manager with a manufacturing company in North Aurora, IL!
The Maintenance & Safety Manager will be responsible for managing all facility maintenance operations and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all production equipment, welding operations, systems, and infrastructure operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. The position requires strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to improving safety performance, reducing downtime, and driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily maintenance operations.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical systems, electrical controls, and production equipment.
• Maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, preventive tasks, and parts inventory.
• Develop and maintain EHS policies and programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide safety training for employees.
This position will be working on-site at the North Aurora location. Hours are 7am-4pm.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure
• Experience with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs
• Experience with OSHA and safety training
• Any experience with welding, fabrication, CNC, press brake, and powder coating is a plus but not required
