Cost Accountant

Trillium Professional is now seeking a Cost Accountant in Pomona, CA!

The Cost Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting accurate costing of manufactured parts and equipment by gathering, analyzing, and reporting labor and material costs. This role assists in maintaining standard cost systems, generating cost reports, and identifying variances in production to support financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
-Support customer service with accurate costing of manufactured parts.
-Review inventory and costing of “make” parts in the stockroom.
-Analyze past jobs to identify and explain cost variances.
-Collaborate with the Sales Department on equipment pricing evaluations.
-Maintain and manage the cost accounting and standard cost systems.
-Collect and analyze data to create labor cost reports.
-Assess changes in production processes, materials, methods, and rates for cost impact.
-Create reports evaluating price and profitability drivers.
-Enhance cost control procedures and costing calculations.
-Proactively identify and resolve costing issues.
-Work cross-functionally to build credibility and maintain cooperative relationships.
-Generate monthly cost shipment reports.
-Uphold ethical standards and comply with all regulations.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
-Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a related field required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
-Technical knowledge of cost analysis principles.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Made2Manage (M2M) is a plus.
-Strong keyboard and calculator skills.
-Self-driven, adaptable team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
-Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and excellent time management.
-Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across departments.
-Committed to ethical conduct and compliance with company policies and laws.
