General Laborer

Trillium Staffing is now seeking reliable and hardworking General Laborers for a manufacturing facility in Warren, MI!

Candidate will be required to maintain cleanliness in and around the Hilo repair area of manufacturing facility. The primary focus is on cleaning restrooms, dumping trash, and removing debris to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment. Candidate will also operate hilo for 5-10% of day to move/dump trash.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity (90 days). Schedule is 1st shift, 6:00AM – 2:00PM. There is no OT unless requested. 

Responsibilities:
-    Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, floors, mirrors, etc.) regularly.
-    Empty and replace trash bins in designated areas.
-    Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness in and around the Hilo (forklift) repair area and beyond.
-    Will be on hilo for 5-10% of day moving/dumping trash. Hi-lo experience preferred but WILL TRAIN candidates who have the capacity to learn.
-    Pick up and dispose of debris including wood pallet pieces, shrink wrap, and other waste materials.
-    Handle and use cleaning chemicals and supplies safely and according to guidelines.
-    Restock bathroom supplies (soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) as needed.
-    Follow basic safety procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
-    Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor. 
-    Perform other basic cleaning duties as assigned.

-    No required experience: on-the-job training provided.
-    PREFERRED: 2+ years’ experience working in mid- large manufacturing facility.
-    PREFERRED: 2+ years’ experience in industrial sanitation.
-    PREFERRED: 2+ years operating hilo or other industrial equipment.
-    Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
-    Comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
-    Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling (preferred but not required)
