Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer

Trillium Professional is now seeking a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer in San Fernando Valley, CA! 

Annual salary is $80k/year. Schedule is Monday – Thursday (Day Shift: 7:00 am – 5:30 pm).

Job Duties
-Plans and designs manufacturing processes.  
-Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.  
-Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.  
-Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  
-Works under immediate supervision.
-Work directly with all departments to resolve manufacturing issues.
-Must have working knowledge of mold making, dies, tooling, assembly, manufacturing fixtures and processes.
-Able to design tools and fixtures for fabrication of mechanical and electrical parts.
-Experience in fiberglass and foaming a plus (parts and assemblies are fabricated from foam, fiberglass, castings, resins and aluminum).
-Some injection molding experience.
-Able to direct and implement processes and process changes.

-Bachelors of Science Degree with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 1-2 years of engineering experience as related to the above duties.
-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as a process owner (process, equipment, documentation, special training).
-Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings and quality specifications.
-Ability to read and understand basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.
-Aerospace manufacturing company experience in assisting all phases of manufacturing process a plus.
-Comfortable and able to work well as part of an integrated team including skilled technicians, engineering peers, and principal level engineers.
-Self-started with proficiency in Microsoft software programs, such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.  Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a technical work environment.
-Must exhibit good judgment, ingenuity, and personal as well as professional integrity.
-Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Project oriented.
-Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
