Forklift Operator
Trillium Staffing is now seeking Forklift Operators / Utility Workers in the Kansas City!
A leading provider of smart logistics solutions is seeking motivated and experienced Forklift Utility Workers with strong backgrounds in forklift operations! This is and outdoor role, year-round - a benefit to the candidate who does not want to be indoors all day!
Hiring location supplies frames to major automotive company. Daily railcar shipments are received and handled. Company is motivated & looking for the right people to join! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity after 90 days!
Pay rate is $20.84/ hour (top rate $25.47), B shift, 5% shift premium and C shift, 10% shift premium. Base pay will increase by June 2025 (exact amount is TBD).
Shift Schedule:
A Crew: MON-THURS, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
B Crew: TUES - FRI, 6:00 pm – 4:30 am
C Crew: FRI - SAT, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm
SUN - MON, 6:00 pm – 4:30 am
* Please note shift schedule may run shorter or longer than stated. Schedules are based on customer’s daily production requirements.
The position being offered is a combination of Forklift and General Labor. Candidate will need to learn all functions of position including the different forklifts required to complete the process. Candidate could be on a lift every day/week and then days/weeks whereby candidate does not operate a lift. Must be flexible!
Job Duties:
- Off-Loading Frames from Railcars: This includes being hoisted in a secured lift (5-point harness), general clean up, securing material, and shifting product via forklift.
- Refill picking area via forklift.
- Order picking: Accurately pick frames. Work in a traditional warehousing type of environment while picking parts according to customer order and placing parts in work areas or storage locations.
- Conveyor Work: Operate overhead hoist and use RF scanner to verify accuracy.
- Loading: Loading frames onto trucks via forklift.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
- Move items from bulk containers or racks, shelves, or in bins according to customer requirements.
- Scan materials and moves according to standard work instructions.
- Organizing facility or warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
- Able to work required scheduled necessary to meet production goals and Key Performance Indicators of site. Schedule may fluctuate based on needs of business.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Candidates must pass standard OSHA forklift test with 90% or more.
- Candidates must be able to lift and carry 50lbs throughout shift.
- Work is 10% on forklift and 90% general labor! Daily assignments can change quickly; candidates must be flexible!
- HS diploma or GED.
- Prior forklift certification.
