Paralegal

Trillium Professional has an immediate opening for a Paralegal in Pittsburgh!

This Direct-Hire opportunity seeks a candidate with a solid background in managing complex litigation, particularly in cases involving pharmaceuticals, medical malpractice, and asbestos.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience preparing medical summaries (both chronological and narrative), overseeing case lifecycles, and providing comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, including depositions and trial preparation.

Responsibilities:
-Oversee active case lifecycles and ensure timely progress.
-Order, track, and summarize medical, employment, academic, tax, and insurance records.
-Draft motions, pleadings, subpoenas, and other essential legal documents.
-Assist in responding to discovery requests and perform document review through eDiscovery platforms.
-Organize and maintain factual data for multi-district litigation matters.
-Support deposition and trial preparation by:
-Summarizing depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
-Researching and analyzing case information.
-Preparing case files, binders, reports, summaries, and trial exhibits.
-Coordinating and preparing witnesses for depositions and trials.
-File pleadings electronically in state and federal courts via CM/ECF systems.
-Track and record billable time accurately using Prolaw billing software.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Salary is 
$90,000 annually.

-At least 5 years of experience providing paralegal support in complex litigation.
-Proven expertise in asbestos litigation.
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
-Skilled in preparing legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
-Familiarity with county, state, and federal court procedures, including electronic filing systems.
-Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of professional interaction at all levels.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
-Experience with litigation software including eDiscovery Point, Case Notebook, and Relativity.
-Knowledge of iManage and Prolaw is a plus.
-Collaborative, forward-thinking team player with strong organizational abilities.
-A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or a Paralegal -Certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
-Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience, with emphasis on asbestos or product liability litigation.
-Additional training or coursework in litigation or case management is advantageous.
