Safety Manager
Trillium Construction is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Safety Manager to oversee and enforce safety policies, procedures, and practices on crane and millwright projects.
The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, minimizing risk, and promoting a culture of safety across job sites. This position requires a hands-on leader with deep knowledge of heavy equipment operations, rigging, mechanical installations, and construction safety best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop, implement, and manage company-wide safety programs in accordance with OSHA, ANSI, and other relevant safety standards.
-Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments across all crane and millwright job sites.
-Enforce compliance with safety protocols related to crane operations, rigging, and equipment installation.
-Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
-Deliver safety orientation and training for all field personnel, subcontractors, and supervisors.
-Collaborate with project managers and site superintendents to plan and monitor safe work practices.
-Maintain all safety documentation, including JSAs, safety data sheets, inspection reports, and accident logs.
-Interface with OSHA and other regulatory agencies as required.
-Promote a proactive safety culture through communication, engagement, and leadership.

Qualifications:
-Minimum 10 years of safety experience in construction, specifically in crane, rigging, and millwright environments.
-OSHA 510 certification (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry).
-CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification required.
-Strong knowledge of crane operations, fall protection, confined space entry, equipment safety, and lockout/tagout procedures.
-Proven ability to lead safety programs on industrial and mechanical projects.
-Excellent communication and leadership skills; capable of training and influencing teams on all levels.
-Working knowledge of safety management systems and reporting tools.
-Ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed.
