CNC Operator

Trillium Professional is now seeking a looking for a CNC Set Up/Programming Machinist. 

Pay rate is $35-39 per hour. Schedule is 1st shift, 6:30am-3pm.

Job duties:
-Program CNC mills and lathes using Mastercam (X, 2023 or latest version).
-Set up CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) including tooling, fixtures, and offsets.
-Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T symbols, and job travelers.
-Perform first article inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
-Make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
-Monitor machines during operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
-Maintain accurate documentation for setups, programs, and inspection results.
-Troubleshoot machining and programming issues efficiently.
-Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and other machinists to improve processes.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist with Mastercam programming experience.
-Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code.
-Proficient in setup and operation of CNC milling and/or turning machines.
-Experience with HAAS, Fanuc, Okuma, or Mazak machines preferred.
-Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
-Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
-High attention to detail and quality.
-Capable of working independently or in a team environment.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):
-Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machining.
-Familiarity with ERP systems and digital work instructions.
-Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
