Trillium Professional is now seeking an Executive Director / Vice President of Technology in Glendale!

A large hospital system is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director or Vice President of Technology (title based on experience) to lead the strategy, design, operations, and optimization of the organization’s enterprise IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for data center operations, server and storage systems, multi-cloud architecture, endpoint engineering, and device management.

This individual will oversee a team of IT professionals and manage significant technology budgets while collaborating with senior leadership to ensure infrastructure scalability, performance, and alignment with the organization’s digital transformation goals. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise across technical domains, strong leadership capabilities, and healthcare experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Oversee all aspects of data center operations, including server infrastructure, system performance, storage solutions, and maintenance.
-Lead the design, deployment, and performance optimization of a multi-cloud environment (e.g., Azure, AWS), including vendor selection and cost management.
-Manage desktop and endpoint infrastructure, including VDI, image creation, deployment strategies, and optimization.
-Guide the implementation and support of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and tools such as VMware Horizon, IGEL OS, and PrinterLogic.
-Supervise the management of devices and tablets using MDM solutions, with a preference for Microsoft Intune.
-Provide strategic oversight of Database Administration (DBA) functions, ensuring optimal database performance and reliability.
-Build and lead a team of 10–20 IT professionals, developing skills and capabilities to support enterprise IT initiatives.
-Manage technology budgets, planning for future infrastructure needs and ensuring efficient resource utilization.
-Collaborate with leadership across departments to ensure infrastructure solutions support clinical and business operations.
-Support regulatory and compliance requirements, including HIPAA, HITECH, and security frameworks.

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
-10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure leadership within large, complex organizations—healthcare experience strongly preferred.
-Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional IT teams and managing multi-million-dollar technology budgets.
-Experience overseeing both on-premise data center environments and multi-cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, etc.).
-Prior experience supporting or integrating with MEDITECH or other EHR platforms is a plus.
-Strong technical expertise in servers, storage, systems administration, and data center best practices.
-Deep knowledge of cloud engineering, including standing up and managing large-scale, multi-cloud environments.
-Proficiency in VDI technologies, including VMware Horizon, IGEL OS, and PrinterLogic.
-Experience with MDM tools, particularly Microsoft Intune, for endpoint and mobile device management.
-Understanding of database administration practices, performance optimization, and data security.
-Strong leadership and team development skills, with a proven ability to manage diverse technical teams.
-Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience engaging executive stakeholders.
-Budgeting, strategic planning, and vendor management capabilities.
-Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA, HITECH, and data governance frameworks.
