Carpentry Foreman

Trillium Construction is search for a well-established leader in the commercial construction industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality construction projects while maintaining exceptional safety standards and meeting client expectations.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Foreman to join our team.

As a Commercial Construction Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on the job site. Your role will include supervising a team of workers, ensuring the timely completion of projects, and maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality. You will be expected to provide leadership, hands-on expertise in construction tasks, and meet project deadlines effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
-Site Supervision: Supervise and manage a team of construction workers, ensuring they follow project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
-Team Leadership: Provide guidance and training to staff members, ensuring the team understands the expectations for performance, safety, and quality.
-Carpentry and Construction Tasks: Perform hands-on work as needed, including rough and finish carpentry, demolition, steel erection, and steel fabrication.
-Construction Operations: Oversee various phases of construction, including insulation installation, drywall installation, roofing, and job site clean-up, ensuring that work is completed according to specifications and deadlines.
-Quality Control: Monitor and inspect the quality of work performed by the team and subcontractors. Ensure that construction work meets industry standards, building codes, and client specifications.
-Schedule Management: Coordinate daily work schedules and ensure that all tasks are completed on time. Troubleshoot issues that may cause delays and adjust resources as needed to maintain project timelines.
-Safety Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on the job site by strictly enforcing safety regulations and guidelines. Conduct safety meetings, daily site inspections, and resolve any potential hazards immediately.
-Job Site Cleanliness: Oversee job site cleanliness and organization, ensuring that debris is removed regularly and that the site is ready for inspections and handovers.

This is a Temp to hire position working 40 hours per week.  Pay is up to $35+/hr DOE.

Qualifications:
-Experience: At least 8 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in carpentry, steel fabrication, drywall, roofing, and other general construction tasks.
-Leadership Skills: Previous Foreman experience with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Experience in training and mentoring junior staff is a plus.
-Hands-On Expertise: Ability to perform various construction tasks, including rough and finish carpentry, steel erection, insulation, demolition, and roofing.
-Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices. OSHA certification is preferred.
-Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify challenges quickly and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
-Time Management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
-Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and upper management.
