High Voltage Commissioning Manager
Trillium Construction in hiring for a Traveling HV Commissioning Manager to assist with the commissioning of new solar substations across the country.
This is a direct-hire, long-term position, paying an hourly rate between $60 - $75/hr, plus per diem!
Duties:
-Plan, manage, and execute the commissioning of high voltage electrical systems (33kV–400kV).
-Supervise and coordinate commissioning teams and subcontractors on-site.
-Develop detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules.
-Review and approve commissioning documentation, method statements, and risk assessments.
-Ensure all systems are tested and commissioned in accordance with design specifications, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
-Interface with engineering, construction, and client teams to ensure smooth transition from installation to commissioning and energization.
-Lead site acceptance testing (SAT), functional testing, and system integration testing.
-Troubleshoot and resolve commissioning-related issues.

Qualifications:
-Must be able to perform relay protection testing of all SEL relays and GE-L90 relays using a Doble 6150 relay test set
-Must be able to write test plans for the Doble 6150 relay test set
-Must be able to lead all aspect of substation commissioning, testing and maintenance
-Must be willing to train personnel in all aspects of substation commissioning, testing, and maintenance
-Must have experience performing substation equipment acceptance and maintenance testing
-Must have an understanding of NETA ATS and MTS requirements as well as the supporting IEEE, ASTM, & IEC standards.
-Previous NETA level 3 or 4 certification a plus
-Must have or complete OSHA 30 for construction within 30 days of employment
-Must have or complete NFPA 70 E training for 2024 edition within 30 days of employment
-Substation Maintenance/Testing/Operating certifications a plus
-Substation RTAC programming experience a plus
