Construction Laborer

Trillium Construction is now seeking a Construction Demolition Laborer and/or Plumbing apprentice for 1.5 year project in Iowa City.

Pay $23-$26 Depending on apprentice level of plumbing. Work Schedule: Mon-Friday 40 hours. There will be one month of demolition work.

Construction Demolition Laborer is an entry-level position focused on assisting with the teardown and removal of structures, debris, and materials at construction site.
- Clear debris, rubble, and piping materials from demolition sites and load them into trucks or dumpsters for disposal.
- Break down and remove structures such as walls, floors, ceilings, or other building components using hand tools (e.g., sledgehammers, crowbars) or power tools (e.g., jackhammers, saws).

2nd phase of project is assisting plumbers. Previous experience preferred but not necessary. This is a hands-on role that combines on-the-job training with technical skill development
- Assist in installing pipes, fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets, showers), and appliances (e.g., water heaters) in commercial setting.
- Help measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using tools like pipe cutters, wrenches, and soldering equipment.

This role is physically demanding and offer opportunities to grow with experience.

- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (typically 50+ lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor at least 6 months of recent experience.
