Compliance Specialist

Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Compliance Specialist in Lansing, MI!

This is full-time, 1st shift work. Pay rate is $23-25 per hour & Benefits (Health, 401(k), Wellness Perks, and More!).

Are you a detail-driven professional who thrives on organization and compliance? Our Accounting team is looking for a proactive Compliance Specialist to help support critical business and operational initiatives. In this role, you’ll work closely with Project Accountants and internal teams to ensure subcontractor compliance, maintain accurate records, and support key accounting processes.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Subcontractor Compliance Management – Log, monitor, and audit subcontractor contract compliance documentation.
- Proactive Compliance Auditing – Ensure adherence to contractual obligations by conducting regular reviews and providing feedback.
- Records Management – Handle filing, copying, scanning, and archiving to support company records retention policies.
- Accounts Payable Support – Assist with processing invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Cross-Departmental Support – Gain hands-on experience with various accounting processes and provide assistance where needed.

What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 4-5 years in administrative or accounting roles.
- Industry Knowledge: Construction industry experience & familiarity with industry terminology are a plus!
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF software.
- Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
- Service-Oriented Mindset: A strong focus on supporting internal teams and ensuring compliance.
- Detail-Oriented & Proactive: Ability to anticipate needs, follow through on tasks, and meet deadlines.
