Senior Estimator

Trillium Construction is hiring for a Senior Estimator in the Baltimore area to put bids together for commercial site development projects in the area.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for a variety of site development projects, including grading, utilities, roadway construction, and other civil infrastructure work.

Duties:
-Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment. 
-Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive and accurate bids. 
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary pricing and scope information. 
-Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software and ensure all calculations align with project requirements. 
-Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions to optimize cost and efficiency. 
-Develop and maintain cost databases, historical pricing records, and industry benchmarks. 
-Assist in bid presentations, contract negotiations, and procurement strategies. 

Compensation:
-Annual salary up to $130,000
-M/V/D insurance
-401k
-PTO

Qualifications:
-Minimum of 3+ years in civil construction estimating, with a proven track record in preparing bids for large-scale projects 
-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. 
-Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Agtek, or similar). 
-OSHA 30 Certification preferred 
-Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator - CPE) are a plus.
