Quality Control Technician - Per Diem Offered

Trillium Construction is currently hiring a Quality Control (QC) Technician for a project in Newell, WV.

The QC Technician will support the QC Manager in all phases of inspection work and assist with our client-related activities. This role requires experience in industrial piping and structural steel weldments, with a strong focus on quality and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
-Prioritize and maintain safe work habits at all times.
-Follow company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and facility procedures.
-Complete Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and obtain necessary work permits.
-Develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, customers, and associates.
-Collaborate with Project Engineering on projects and maintenance work.
-Inspect weldments for structural steel and piping.
-Read, interpret, and work from blueprints.
-Accurately document all QC par sheets and ASME reports.
-Understand and issue welding procedures.
-Conduct tank inspections as directed by the QC Inspector.
-Perform on-call duties as needed.
-Be available for out-of-town assignments, possibly for extended periods.
-Assist and witness hydrostatic or pneumatic testing.
-Support weld mapping and Brinell hardness testing.
-Assist welding and fitting crafts as needed.

The pay is $40-$42/hr plus $140 per diem for all 7 days.

Qualifications & Experience:
-High school diploma or GED required.
-Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC experience in the fabrication or inspection of industrial piping and structural steel weldments.
-AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
-At least 2 years of process plant experience in industrial construction.
-Experience developing and maintaining ASME Code stamp programs.
-General knowledge of civil drawings, concrete principles, steam tracing, and pipe/tank insulation.
-Preferred but not required: API 653, API 510, API 570, NACE Level I, NCCER credentials.
-Physical Requirements:
-Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
-Must be physically able to walk long distances.
-Comfortable working at heights.
-Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, rain).
-Capable of working up to 84 hours per week if necessary.
-Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach, and climb.
-Comfortable working in confined spaces.
-Must maintain a professional appearance.
-Travel is required.
