Plumbing Superintendent
Trillium Construction is seeking a skilled Plumbing Superintendent for direct hire in Louisville, Kentucky!
Our client, a respected HVAC contractor, is expanding their team and looking for an experienced Plumbing Superintendent. This role involves overseeing and managing multiple commercial plumbing projects of varying sizes in the area. The salary is negotiable, and the position comes with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental insurance, 401k, PTO, and more!
Key Responsibilities:
-Report directly to the President and Operations Manager, carrying out assigned duties.
-Lead an installation team, setting a high standard for timely, efficient, and profitable completion of tasks.
-Independently manage complex installations and handle on-call duties as needed.
-Perform quality control inspections on jobs, ensuring high standards are met and training new employees as required.
-Manage all plumbing field operations, including tasks not directly performed by you.
-Collaborate with the Operations Manager in recruiting, disciplining, and promoting field personnel, ensuring adherence to installation practices and company quality standards.
-Review labor estimates to consistently meet or exceed labor budgets, with a focus on achieving the team’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), set at $50 Gross Margin Per Hour (GMPMH).
-Enforce safety policies and ensure safety documentation (e.g., PTSAs, Toolbox Talks) is maintained.
-Work closely with Project Managers to ensure project success and smooth coordination across teams.

Qualifications:
-Proficient in interpreting safety guidelines, operating and maintenance manuals, and fabrication equipment plans.
-Skilled in the daily use of standard plumbing tools.
-Able to perform calculations for paperwork and job-related formulas accurately.
-Capable of managing time effectively under pressure, handling heavy workloads, and adapting to changing conditions.
-Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly with customers, suppliers, and company personnel.
-Actively engages in skill development through self-study, corporate training, and other educational opportunities.
-Comfortable working at various heights and in diverse conditions, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
-Willingness to travel, including overnight stays, to meet project needs.
-Knowledgeable in and adheres to all Kentucky Plumbing Codes.
-Holds a valid Journeyman Plumbing License in Kentucky and can acquire a Master Plumbing License within six months.
-Valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
