Senior Accountant
Trillium Construction is hiring for a Senior Accountant in Lake Lillian, MN to work directly for a well-established agricultural manufacturing company.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, and inventory management within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing production costs, and supporting management in decision-making by providing insightful financial reports.
Duties:
-Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to manufacturing operations.
-Continuously improve ERP system use.
-Analyze and monitor production costs, including material, labor, and overhead.
-Develop and maintain standard cost models to ensure accurate financial reporting.
-Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations.
-Conduct inventory valuation and ensure proper cost allocation.
-Review and improve internal controls related to manufacturing and inventory processes.
-Work closely with production, procurement, and operations teams to enhance cost efficiency.
-Prepare and analyze financial reports related to manufacturing performance and profitability.
-Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
-Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and company financial policies.
Compensation:
-Annual salary between $75,000 - $85,000/year

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
-Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
-Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
-Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
-Previous experience with DOT and IFTA fillings and reporting is preferred
-Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
