Trillium Construction is currently seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established commercial construction company.
This company provides a range of services including general contracting, construction management, pre-construction budgeting, value engineering, and design-build services across Central New York and Northern Pennsylvania. With a focus on healthcare, education, manufacturing, municipal, corporate, and retail sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and work on impactful construction projects.
The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management of commercial construction projects of varying sizes, from smaller, short-term projects to large, multi-year commercial developments. Key responsibilities include procurement, subcontractor management, labor/material management, cost control, scheduling, and communication with stakeholders, including owners and internal teams. The position requires some travel between the office and construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, from pre-construction to closeout, ensuring compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and owner/contractor site requirements.
-Coordinate procurement, subcontractor buyout, cost control, and change order processing throughout the project lifecycle.
-Manage and initiate the submittal process to ensure all project specifications and requirements are met.
-Lead and attend project meetings with owners, architects, subcontractors, and jobsite teams to ensure project success.
-Provide clear and effective communication to stakeholders, keeping them informed on project status and progress.
-Ensure the enforcement of contract requirements and project constraints to maintain project schedules and budgets.
-Estimate, compile, and manage the change order process for both self-performed and subcontractor work.
-Prepare periodic Profit & Loss statements and budget analyses in coordination with the accounting team.
-Troubleshoot and problem-solve to address issues and ensure timely project delivery.
-Use project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 to track timelines and project milestones.
-Expedite materials and subcontractor work to meet deadlines and keep projects on track.
-Manage the closeout process, including finalizing as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and participation in commissioning activities.

Qualifications:
-High school diploma required; a vocational/college diploma in construction or related fields is preferred.
-Proven experience in construction project management or related construction roles.
-Familiarity with blueprint reading and CAD drafting is a plus; experience with Bluebeam or other construction document review tools is beneficial.
-OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification is a plus.
-Strong computer skills required, including experience with -Timberline estimating software, Microsoft Project Scheduling, Primavera P6, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant software.
-Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
-Ability to read and interpret construction documents, contracts, and safety regulations.
