General Laborer

Local Greenhouse is looking for seasonal Greenhouse Shipping Employees / General Laborers.  

Assignment will last an estimated 3 months. A Greenhouse Shipping Employee is responsible for accurately and efficiently packaging, labeling, and loading plant orders for shipment to customers. Duties include order fulfillment and maintaining a clean shipping area.

Key Responsibilities of a Greenhouse Shipping Employees:
Order Fulfillment:
-Accurate pick and pack plant orders based on customer specifications and packing lists
-Inspect plants for quality and health before packaging.
-Properly package plants using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit
-Affix accurate shipping labels and documentation to package

Inventory Management:
-Monitor Plant inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock for orders
-Report any discrepancies or stock issues to the supervisor

Loading and Shipping:
-Load packaged plant orders onto racks
-Securely stack and arrange plants to prevent damage during transport

Quality Control:
-Adhere to proper plant handling procedures
-Report any quality concerns regarding plants or packaging to the supervisor

Pay rate is $19.00 an hour. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
