Service Writer

Service Writer needed in Fond du Lac, WI! 1st shift! 

We have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Service Writer with a growing company in Fond du Lac! The Service Writer will be the main point of contact for customers and technicians, so phone skills and previous customer interaction is key. The Service Writer will be answering phones, managing parts ordering and inventory, scheduling technicians, and managing their maintenance schedule. The Service Writer is also responsible for coordinating warranty work orders. This is a great position for an experienced Mechanic looking for an office role! 

Our client is open to contract to hire or direct hire for this permanent need.  Hours are flexible depending on preference but typically Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, no Saturdays needed.  Wages are $25-$27/hour, based on experience.

Qualifications:
-Service writing experience in automotive or diesel.  
-Knowledge of the heavy-duty truck industry.  
-Mechanically inclined with understanding of maintenance procedures. 
-Good computer and phone skills a must. 
-Ability to adapt in stressful situations.
