Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Human Resources Manager for direct-hire in Novi!

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the company’s HR functions, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing HR strategies, policies, and programs to support a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Administration
-Develop, implement, and administer HR policies, procedures, and programs in coordination with senior leadership.
-Oversee all HR department activities, including goal setting, staff evaluation, and operational improvements.

Payroll Management
-Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with IRS and Department of Revenue regulations.
-Maintain employee payroll records and conduct regular financial reconciliations.

Employee Benefits Administration
-Collaborate with third-party consultants to evaluate and recommend benefit programs.
-Manage benefit enrollment, termination, claims processing, and employee education on benefit offerings.

Insurance & Risk Management
-Work with senior management to procure and maintain general liability, professional liability, property, auto, and workers’ compensation insurance policies.
-Oversee quarterly billing, claims processing, and participation in insurance audits.

Performance Management & Employee Development
-Administer and maintain the company’s performance management system, including compensation structures and evaluation programs.
-Provide guidance to managers on employee development, performance improvement, and disciplinary procedures.

Talent Acquisition & Employee Relations
-Lead the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer negotiations.
-Conduct new hire orientations, manage employee relations, and oversee exit interviews.

Legal Compliance & Employee Policies
-Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
-Assist in policy development, investigations, record-keeping, and legal proceedings when necessary.

HR Records & Reporting
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, reports, and company organizational charts.
-Participate in administrative meetings and contribute to strategic planning discussions.

Professional Development & Industry Engagement
-Stay current with HR best practices, trends, and legal requirements by attending seminars, workshops, and industry events.

Other Duties
-Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:
-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
-Minimum of eight years of HR experience, including three years in a managerial or senior administrative role.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as payroll and benefits administration software.
-SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.
