Electrical Foreman
Trillium Construction is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrical Supervisor/Foreman to lead and oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting on industrial projects.
This role requires extensive experience in industrial power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, and high-voltage systems. The ideal candidate will ensure all work meets industry standards, safety regulations, and project deadlines while effectively managing a team of electricians.
The position is based in Columbia, SC and will last for 2 months. The pay rate is $40 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and coordinate industrial electrical projects, ensuring compliance with blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
-Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including motors, transformers, switchgear, conduit, control panels, and PLCs.
-Ensure adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA safety standards, and company policies.
-Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and testing of industrial electrical systems to identify and resolve issues.
-Manage job site materials, equipment, and workforce to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
-Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other trade supervisors to coordinate work and ensure smooth project execution.
-Train and mentor electricians and apprentices, maintaining high-quality workmanship.
-Maintain project records, including daily reports, work progress, and safety documentation.
-Ensure all team members follow proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety protocols.

Qualifications:
-Experience: Minimum 5+ years in industrial electrical services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
-Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical technology is preferred.
-Licensing: Journeyman or Master Electrician license (as required by state regulations).
Knowledge:
-Strong understanding of industrial power systems, PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, and high-voltage equipment.
-Proficiency in rigging, conduit bending (EMT, Rigid), and grounding techniques.
-Familiarity with thermal imaging, megohm testing, and power quality analysis.
-Skills: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
-Certifications: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, CPR/First Aid, and other relevant electrical safety certifications.
-Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, at heights, and in extreme temperatures.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in manufacturing plants, refineries, power plants, or heavy industrial facilities.
-Knowledge of SCADA systems, robotics, and advanced motor control systems.
-Proficiency with industrial electrical estimating and project planning software.
-Ability to work on-call or extended shifts as needed for shutdowns and emergency repairs.
