Trillium Construction is now hiring in Portland, OR!

Our client is an EPC specializing in industrial manufacturing, renewables, food processing, high chemicals, advanced materials, and semi-conductors. They are now hiring a Mechanical Engineer with a PE license to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity with a salary of up to $125k plus great benefits like M/V/D, 401k, PTO, sick leave, and 2 weeks Holiday pay. 

Duties include:
-Lead the mechanical design, analysis, and execution of heavy industrial projects, including but not limited to manufacturing facilities, and large-scale construction projects. 
-Interpret design requirements and provide innovative engineering solutions while incorporating safety, cost effectiveness, and serviceability concepts. 
-Prepare and modify construction specifications related to all mechanical and associated equipment 
-Prepare and modify P&IDs, plant designs, and equipment configuration per customer requirements 
-Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams. 
-Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring high standards of quality and safety. 
-Perform complex mechanical calculations, and system analysis using advanced engineering tools and software. 
-Interface with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. 
-Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, conduct field verifications. 
-Evaluate and recommend appropriate materials, equipment, and systems for use in mechanical designs. 
-Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to implement cutting-edge solutions for clients. Interpret and provide technical expertise in various codes governing design and plat operations (SMACNA, ASHRAE, OSHA, NFPA, etc.) 
-Prepare and review technical reports, presentations, and project documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications: 
-Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). 
-Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. 
-Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably with a focus on heavy industrial projects. 
-Expertise in mechanical design, system analysis, and project management in industrial settings. 
-Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, etc.) and advanced knowledge of mechanical principles. 
-Knowledge of HVAC, piping, and mechanical design in industrial applications.
