Quality Assurance Analyst

Trillium Professional is now seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst in Richmond!

The client is seeking to fill an open position for a Quality Assurance Analyst within our Java Development team.  In this role the candidate will be responsible for developing test plans, test cases, test scripts, test execution, data analysis, and data comparison.  With a focus on designing and implementing strategies to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.  The analyst will work with large data sets to clean and analyze data, troubleshoot data issues, and develop and implement data quality processes.  Operating in an agile software delivery methodology focused on testing new features within an iteration and providing near immediate feedback to through test automation.

Key Position Responsibilities:
-Participate in the writing, designing, and executing test cases.
-Analyze data from multiple sources to identify discrepancies, patterns, and trends.
-Monitor and analyze data quality.
-Identify root causes of data quality issues and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
-Log and document defects.

-4+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance. 
-2+ years of experience data qualify testing. 
-A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
-Demonstrated experience creating, executing, and automating test plans. 
-Basic understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) 
-Proven experience in and demonstrated know of writing moderately complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions.
-Experience in creating strategic test plans aligned with overall project objectives and business goals. 
-Ability to define and execute comprehensive testing strategies. 
-Familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies in QA. 
-Experience working in cross-functional teams. 
-Expertise in managing complex test environments and ensuring their stability and reliability. 
-Proficient in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for testing processes. 
-Ability to generate comprehensive test reports for management. 

Preferred:
-6+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance. 
-4+ years of experience in data quality analysis. 
-A master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. 
-Extensive experience in software testing methodologies, test planning, and execution strategies. 
-Comprehensive knowledge of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). 
-Strong experience in and demonstrated of writing complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions.
-Knowledge of industry best practices in quality assurance and data analysis. 
-Experience in designing and optimizing performance tests. 
-Ability to recommend and implement performance testing strategies. 
-Experience identifying risk and assisting with mitigation strategies. 
-Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements. 
-Ability to communicate testing insights effectively to diverse stakeholders.

Tool Experience:
-Testing tools: DBeaver (or similar), Beyond Compare.
-Test artifact management: Zephyr.
-API testing tools: SoapUI, Postman.
-Defect and task tracking: Jira.
