Landscaping Estimator

Trillium Construction is hiring for a Landscaping Estimator in Lemont, IL to work directly with a well-established commercial landscaping company that specializes in landscape design, construction, and management services.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for landscaping projects, including reviewing project plans, conducting site visits, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring that all estimates align with client expectations and company profitability goals. Annual salary is between $75,000 - $95,000/year, plus benefits!

Duties:
-Analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates
-Prepare detailed proposals, including scope of work, timelines, and cost breakdowns
-Identify labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
-Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions, measure dimensions, and identify potential challenges or opportunities
-Collaborate with project managers and designers to gather insights for customized project solutions
-Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services
-Evaluate bids to ensure compliance with project requirements and budget constraints
-Ensure estimates align with company profit margins and client budgets

Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in landscaping, construction management, or related field preferred
-2+ years of experience in landscaping, estimating, or a related field
-Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, techniques, and construction practices
-Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), Bluebeam, E-Takeoff, Sage Estimating
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
-Strong verbal and written communication abilities
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
-Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites and client offices, as needed
-Familiarity with local building codes and environmental regulations is a plus
