Electrical Engineer
Trillium Construction is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for a direct hire opportunity with a mechanical company.
Job Purpose: Provide cost-effective, creative, and code-compliant solutions for HVAC-related projects, including federal, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors.
Summary: Design electrical systems based on client needs, coordinating with teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Focus on HVAC industry projects and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure cohesive designs.
Key Responsibilities:
-Proposal Development: Assist in sales opportunities, proposal creation, material pricing, and estimating.
-Design & Procurement: Develop and review electrical designs, ensure compliance, minimize costs, and collaborate with construction teams.
-Construction Support: Provide technical guidance, assist with project logistics, and monitor project progress.
-Project Close-Out: Finalize as-built documents, O&M manuals, and conduct post-construction site walks.
-Secondary Functions: Site visits, mentor junior engineers, maintain company design standards.
Salary: $100K-$170K, depending on experience

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, mostly field-based with 1 remote day
Travel: 5 days/month outside the Dallas/Fort Worth area

Experience/Skills:
-6+ years of experience in electrical design for HVAC projects.
-Ability to communicate effectively with clients and solve design challenges.
-Knowledge of electrical power systems, government codes, and AutoCAD.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
-PE license preferred (must be eligible for Texas PE).
-Experience in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
