Territory Sales Manager
Trillium is now seeking a Territory Sales Manager that covers the following Territories: Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia. Candidate can reside in any of these states.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Growth (Volume & Profitability)
-Set marketplace initiatives to achieve double-digit growth within the territory, primarily through direct reports aligned with the company’s sales leaders, marketing, operations, and executives.
Increase revenue year over year from direct reports.
Leadership
-Monitor, motivate, and drive performance through effective hiring, training, development, and onboarding.
-Develop sales capabilities by coaching and mentoring sales professionals.
-Lead and ensure safety in the territory. Demonstrate commitment to the leadership team as evidenced by growth in orders, sales, and profitability.
Customer Focus
-Retain and expand SMA/Customer markets using research and technology to improve market share.
-Direct the right sales channels at the right time to ensure the best outcomes for customers.
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and customer retention within their assigned territory. The role includes providing leadership for service sales professionals, directing sales activities, and focusing on team sales performance, individual target achievement, sales resource development, business development activities, and managing key account responsibilities at the local level. The Territory Sales Manager will also oversee pricing policies, manage key segment agreements, and guide customer acquisition strategies.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities are aligned with the key accountabilities, including in-person visits with your team and customers throughout the assigned territory.
-Ensure that sales resources effectively utilize CRM to manage customer relationships and maintain sales excellence.
-Conduct weekly coaching sessions with all sales resources to meet targets and execute individual development plans.
-Develop and mentor sales professionals in areas such as product knowledge, sales processes, route planning, closing techniques, and general sales presentation skills.
-Oversee, collect, and report on business review activities and results.
-Submit a monthly report, including a 3-month sales and orders forecast, sales quotation levels, key orders, quotes, and lost orders. -This is done in cooperation with the territory operations manager.
-Participate in monthly management meetings to review business status and address specific concerns.
-Collaborate with the management team to resolve billing, warranty, or goodwill issues.
-Ensure sales goals are met, including overseeing service sales processes.
-Resolve customer complaints to satisfaction while considering the company’s best interests.
-Participate in the renewal of key segment agreements.
-Direct pricing policies and CM2 levels for service activities in collaboration with the Territory Operations Manager.
-Engage in annual and strategic business development activities.
-Provide periodic market and competitive insights.
-Manage the hiring and firing decisions of sales personnel, in consultation with the Vice President of Sales.
-Resolve unresolved credit or billing issues with the branch teams or operations management.
-Oversee all duties within the Service Sales Representatives’ job description.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Annual salary is $95,000 - 110,000 per year and this is a direct-hire opportunity. Apply now!
-Demonstrated leadership experience and well-developed “people” skills.
-Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in PC use.
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
-Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience as a manager in service-related sales or operations, or equivalent experience.
