Lead Mechanical Engineer
Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a global company that specializes in the manufacturing and service of industrial cranes, lifting equipment, and related services.
Job Duties:
-Serve as the Engineering representative, communicating directly with Project Managers and Material Managers (MMPs).
-Create the Skeleton Structure in the system (Teamcenter), with a 2-3 day lead time after receiving Order Acknowledgement, and distribute the Excel version to the MMP and PM.
-Attend Sales Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) alongside the Project Manager, Sales Team, MMP, and Offer Engineer.
-Review project technical specifications, sales proposals, and estimates, clarifying any requirements with the Project Manager as needed.
-Develop Crane General Arrangement Drawings.
-Perform Crane Steel Structure Calculations using internal tools and supporting calculation software.
-Create Subcontracted Engineering Work Orders.
-Lead Engineering Kick-Off Meetings (KOM) with the Design Team, communicating the scope and interpreting project specifications.
-Manage engineering project hours and schedules in the Engineering Resource Management System (ERMS).
-Maintain and update Project Engineering Schedules in ERMS.
-Coordinate the requirements for Third Party Electro-Mechanical Components and work with external vendors as needed.
-Approve all engineering drawings and crane design EBOMs in the system (Teamcenter).
-Organize Electrical Coordination Meetings, including Phase I, Phase II, and necessary follow-ups to resolve open issues.
-Oversee Change Management and coordinate necessary changes.
-Develop and implement Design Standards.
-Maintain Engineering and Design Best Practices.
-Provide Transportation or Erection Drawings as required.
-Monitor design engineering quality issues and provide feedback for continuous improvement to the Quality Department.
-Ensure all final documents and calculations are submitted to the -Project Manager, with final copies stored and maintained in Teamcenter.
-Stay current on industry standards and norms, particularly those set by CMAA, AWS, OSHA, and ASCE.
-Provide Warranty Support as needed.
Additional Information:
- Candidate will not be managing others.
- Candidates should have structural background and experience as the lead role on projects.
- Minimal travel (no more than 20%).
- This is not a hybrid role… role is ONSITE.
- Salary is $70,000 - 95,000 depending on experience.
