Trillium is now hiring a Remote Technical Sales Representative / Engineer!

A leading industrial company is seeking a specialized individual to fill the role of Service Sales Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for selling complex engineered modernization opportunities within your assigned territory. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, partnering with district sales teams to enhance customers’ understanding of the company’s solutions and products. Your primary focus will be on major engineering companies and process industries utilizing heavy-duty or high-capacity crane equipment, including Steel Mills, Paper Mills, Waste to Energy/Biomass, Automotive Plants, Power Generation, General Manufacturing, Mining, Petrochemical industries, and more. We are looking for a driven, disciplined individual with strong problem-solving abilities and a conscientious work ethic.

This is a remote role with travel required within designated territory. The ideal location for the candidate is in Tennessee, Kentucky, or Alabama.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales territory plans, including recommending improvements for materials or machinery to customers.
- Demonstrate how the company’s solutions can improve safety, productivity, and return on investment for customers.
- Consult with customers to fully understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
- Communicate the financial benefits and funding processes for each project.
- Provide consultative technical presentations and proposals that explain the technical aspects of products and their benefits for the customer.
- Introduce engineered products to leading companies within the assigned territory.
- Lead efforts to ensure sustainable modernization business growth year over year.
- Maintain sales excellence using CRM tools to manage sales within the territory.
- Conduct market research and report on customer business outlooks within the territory.
- Provide specification support for new products while maintaining a solid understanding of the company’s product offerings.
- Manage all commercial issues before and after the sale, including terms and conditions.
- Forecast sales and orders on a monthly basis, adhering to company reporting timelines.
- Prepare professional proposals, including ROI justifications, for capital-based projects.
- Deliver technical presentations on advanced products in areas such - as mechanical, electrical, automation, and structural design.

Salary is $80,000/year plus 2% Commission (1% paid upon order and 1% paid upon final sale). Company vehicle is provided for business and personal use.

Required Experience: 
- Minimum of five years of experience in heavy-duty material handling or advanced capital equipment sales/products.
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in technical sales, relationship building, capital buying processes, and customizing/upgrading heavy-duty manufacturing equipment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and estimating skills.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in estimating and design software.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 75%.
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, and comply with random drug tests during employment.
- Willingness to work at heights.
- Ability to sign a non-compete agreement.
- Commitment to safety protocols.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
