Senior Tax Accountant

Trillium has an immediate opening for a Senior Tax Accountant with a financial planning firm in Reno, NV!

This Direct-Hire opportunity seeks an Enrolled Agent or CPA with 5+ years of experience in filing individual tax returns. This is an amazing opportunity to grow into the Lead Tax Accountant when the current CPA retires within 2 years!

Responsibilities:
•    Preparing and filing individual, fiduciary, and S-Corp tax returns, with a majority of the clients subject to California accounting rules
•    Calculating quarterly estimated tax payments
•    Reconciling documents from prior year with current year tax return
•    Work with the internal CPA and Financial Advisor team
•    Respond to tax notices from the IRS, FTB, and any applicable agency
•    Ensure compliance with government tax rules

The salary range is $75,000-120,000 depending on experience. This will be an in-office role working out of their Reno office location.

Qualifications:
•    Active Enrolled Agent or CPA
•    5+ years of experience filing individual tax returns, and willingness to learn about business returns as needed
•    Experience with California returns is preferred but not required
•    Proficiency with Intuit Lacerte and QuickBooks Online/Desktop
