HVAC Estimator

Trillium Construction is hiring for a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator/Project Manager to join the team at an establish HVAC contractor in Chippewa Falls, WI.

This dual-role position is responsible for accurately estimating HVAC projects and managing them from inception to completion, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budgetary compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record in the construction or mechanical contracting industry. Annual salary is around $70,000 + commission, with benefits!

Duties:
-Selling HVAC systems in whole or part to potential residential and commercial clients
-Calculating cost for installing HVAC systems and quoting installed costs to potential customers with acceptable profit margins
-Periodically supervise crews of sheet metal workers, installers, and servicemen to keep jobs progressing as smoothly as possible
-Complete accurate load calculations on new and existing structures (duct designs, system layout, pipe sizing, ventilation requirements, etc.)
-Schedule jobs that are won to most effectively utilize manpower
-Review job inventory lists and make sure all equipment has model and serial numbers recorded
-Cost out equipment and special ordered materials on job sheets before submitting for billing
-Check over final job costing before invoice is processed
-Assure that estimates and bids are delivered in a timely manner
-Attend client/customer meetings, home shows, conferences, etc.

Qualifications:
-Proven experience as an HVAC Estimator or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of HVAC systems, designs, and installations.
-Proficient in MS Office programs, especially Excel
-Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
-Ability to do load calculations
-Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
