Class A Truck Driver

Trillium Drivers is looking for Class A CDL Drivers!

This position requires DOT certification and a CDL.
Job Responsibilities: Operates company owned and leased vehicles safely while delivering merchandise to customers. Assists in loading and unloading merchandise on trucks. Operates vehicles safely and in conformance with traffic laws. Performs daily operational maintenance and safety checks. Reports results and malfunctions of equipment to supervisor. Obtains signature upon delivery and pickup tickets and notes any discrepancies. Follows assigned scheduling and routing of deliveries, and makes deliveries on time as scheduled. Must be capable of learning and operating truck routing software program. Follows proper procedures in reporting of accidents. May assist in the routing of deliveries Must frequently move up to 100 pounds. Works in warehouse and city / highway driving conditions. Can maneuver in and out of trucks during delivery. Follows written and verbal instructions. Possesses good communication skills and a pleasant attitude. Driving and walking outside in all weather conditions. Communicates shortages of merchandise through proper channels to ensure accurate billing. Handles stock in a careful and safe manner; conscious of quality and eliminating damage. Practices and adheres to established safety rules and policies, as well as, established housekeeping standards. Performs equipment safety review. Reports any violations or hazards to management immediately. Operates assigned warehouse equipment in performing the functions of the job Participates in scheduled cycle counts and physical inventory as required. Pay Rate: $26.25 per hour.

Heavy work: requires ability to continually lift, push, pull at least 50 pounds or over of product and occasionally in excess of 100 pounds up to 160 pounds of product using prescribed team lift procedure. Physical activities required of this job include, but are not limited to: climbing, crouching, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, standing, stooping, talking, walking.

-Valid CDL Class A Driver’s license.  
-At least 1+ years of recent and verifiable CDL Class A driving experience.  
-Clean MVR.  
-Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.   
-AS400 system helpful.
-Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skills are required.
-Strong problem solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks are required.
-Technical Skills/Desktop/PC Software-Microsoft Office developing required.
-High school diploma or equivalent education and related experience.
-Proficient math skills in unit of measurement and multiplication, division, addition, subtraction. One to two years previous warehouse experience in distribution environment desirable.
-Experience operating distribution warehouse material handling equipment.
-Must able to work independently with safety and efficiency goals in the forefront.
-Must be able safely operate a step-van.
