Senior Service Technician

We have a National Federal Contractor looking for a SR Mechanical Service Tech for Direct Hire, local to the Jacksonville/N. FL area. Our client is an EEOC company.

The Senior Mechanical Service Technician is responsible for the overall start-up and troubleshooting of the mechanical and plumbing systems throughout the construction and commissioning phase with emphasis on meeting or exceeding the commissioning expectations at time of startup, pre-functional test (PFT), performance verification test (PVT) and closeout. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ’s Mission, Vision, and Values. This position will be in King’s Bay, GA or greater Jacksonville, FL area.

Competitive Pay: $30-$45/hour, depends on experience and project location. Benefits Include: Options for Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, 401K with Match.

Education & Experience
-A high school diploma or GED is the preferred minimum formal education for this position. HVAC Trade school certificate or equivalent may also be qualifying for this position.
-Minimum two years’ experience in management/leadership overseeing a team of technicians.
-Ten or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in the HVAC industry, with emphasis on maintenance and service required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
-Valid factory start-up certifications preferred.
-EPA-608 Certification (Refrigerant Recovery) preferred.
-CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required; training in these and other areas can be provided.
-Travel may be required (approximately 20% of the time outside of the assigned location).
